PRIMEDIA@HOME warms Hearts with Soup

PRIMEDIA@HOME recently undertook the first of several planned projects to supply residents of charitable organisations with nourishing Knorr soup donated by a benefactor who has elected to remain anonymous.

The gesture motivated PRIMEDIA@HOME to similarly assist the poor, delivering the soup containers and carrying the costs themselves. Eight homes caring for the aged, disabled, aids victims and broader community upliftment projects each received between 50 and 60 catering soup containers.

“Finding the time and resources during our hectic peak period was difficult, but exceptionally rewarding to see so many welcoming and happy faces as the soup was delivered,” comments Endri Steyn, Operations Director at PRIMEDIA@HOME who was personally involved in the project.

“We were not physically able to deliver all the soup committed by the sponsor and with the imminence of winter, we plan to leverage our vast distribution network and try to assist homes in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Bloemfontein, Yeoville and Volksrus. We hope our contribution will make a difference in peoples’ lives, especially as it appears this winter is going to be ultra cold,” says Melvin Chagonda, the Managing Director of PRIMEDIA@HOME.
