

Primedia@home’s consumer activation drives sales For altech autopage cellular
Precision Marketing leader PRIMEDIA@HOME ensured top-of-mind consumer awareness for new client, Altech Autopage Cellular, thereby increasing market share and driving sales for the new Samsung Omnia. Also linked to Cell C, the various FTV (Fashion TV) Activations are engaging consumers in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town.
Targeted at non-price sensitive, fashion conscious and trendy consumers, the recent activations rolled out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at various FTVs between 8pm and 12am, during peak consumer traffic periods.
“The brand is young, vibrant and stylish and as such, the FTV outlets provided the optimum location for the campaign. PRIMEDIA@HOME added to the hype by training and deploying vibrant, sexy brand ambassadors to interact with the target audience,” explains Melvin Chagonda, CEO of PRIMEDIA@HOME.
The new Samsung Omnia is a stylish phone for the young professional with business capabilities for out-of-office use that also has its own unique, social aesthetic appeal. PRIMEDIA@HOME’s communication clearly indicated Samsung Omnia is a necessary trendy accessory through friendly and playful consumer interactions.
“Using Samsung Omnia mobile phones our brand ambassadors took digital images of the patrons and ‘Bluetoothed’ them directly to their own cell phones. Fun for consumers, and highly strategically tactical action undertaken by PRIMEDIA@HOME to capture valuable consumer data,” Chagonda explains.
Consumers engaging with the brand ambassadors became eligible to win a Samsung Omnia in a draw, with winners announced on FTV’s website. To add more value to the campaign, PRIMEDIA@HOME promoters handed out branded lanyards, business cards and applied “One In A Million” temporary tattoos to female patrons. Strategically placed Altech Autopage Cellular banners inside and outside each venue gave hype to the events.
“The various FTV outlets enabled PRIMEDIA@HOME to intertwine the brand with the fashion conscious and professional market, while the relaxed and social atmosphere enabled light-hearted consumer entertainment,” Chagonda concludes.
